Schweitzer Custom Woodworking has been in business for 15 years.  They specialize in custom built homes, cabinets, entertainment centers etc. They provide Milford, Nebraska and the surrounding communities with quality woodwork.

It all stared with a young boys dream -- to be a woodworker. Les Schweitzer's dream began to come true when he worked for a carpenter in his teen years.

After eighteen years as an employee, he decided to take a leap of faith. In 1993, he started his own woodworking business,Schweitzer Custom Woodworking. He worked many day and evening hours building cabinets and small furniture. His business grew and before long he was building custom homes.

 During this time a new opportunity arose. An opportunity which would add a unique twist to his business -- laser engraving. With a laser engraving machine, custom designs and text could be etched into cabinet doors, mantels and glass. He felt this would be a benefit to his business and also provide custom gifts and home decor to future customers. In 2004, he added a new branch to his business -- Schweitzer's Custom Engraving.

Schweitzer's Custom Engraving offers many unique products for home decor and gifts. These items have been precisely engraved with a laser engraver. Engraving is done through intensified light which passes through a lens. The light then burns directly into the material being engraved. 

Schweitzer's Custom Engraving takes pride in providing customers with quality products, such as plaques, quilt racks, entry way mirrors or glassware. Each item on the website has been engraved and may be personalized to make a unique gift.

What once was only a dream, has now turned into a family owned and operated business, involving his wife, daughter, son-in-law and additional employees.Each member of the team strives to provide quality, custom built homes, cabinets, gifts and home decor.
